This project was to take a dying or failed brand and revive it to adapt and survive our current world. While keeping true to the soul of the brand, we focused on what made the brand successful and pushed it further. From designing a new logo, to creating a new visual system, and developing deliverables/experiences, we brought our brand to a new level.

The original concept that drove the original DeLorean Motor Company was taking something that was static and improving it with creative innovations, creating a new path. This was applied to the automotive world, but the new DeLorean is about bringing experts together, leveraging ideas to find solutions, from the inside out. For design goals, I decided to go with a phoenix logo for the re-brand since it reminded me of rising above and rebirth. The color palette is red and black to represent the fiery bird and ash. For the typeface, I went with Poster Gothic ATF because it’s large and bold and has hard edges; I wanted something corporate looking, but with a metal-looking theme.
