The purpose of this project was to find a local business and design a website and mobile app for it. The coffee house I chose did not have a website so I was able to talk with their management seeking what they were looking for in a website. We had to find out what the client wanted in their website, if they had any obstacles, and offer solutions.
Crema Coffee House and Pastries is a Victorian style place with a soft color palette. Their pastries are European inspired and they are proud to use fresh, high quality ingredients. My design goals were to continue using a soft color palette, but not using the color brown since that is an overused color for coffee houses. For a graphic element, I used plants that were delicate to help bring out that Victorian style. For the typefaces, I went with Lust, which has a bold feminine look, and Neuzeit Grotesk for a more neutral look.
